Intune Networks to Focus Exclusively on Telecoms
Intune Networks will focus exclusively on the telecommunications market
Dublin, 28th May 2008 – Intune Networks, a leading developer of technology based on tunable lasers since 1999, will now focus on the telecommunications market exclusively. Following an injection of US$17.5m in funding last August, Intune has been working with its existing customer base to transition from technology supply to a licensing model. From today, Intune will no longer manufacture its existing product lines and will focus exclusively on a new product line for the telecommunications industry.
Tim Fritzley, CEO of the company said, “Intune has been pioneering the use of dynamic optical technology in a variety of markets such as Oil and Gas, Security and Defence and Process Engineering. However, the Telecommunications market represents the largest single opportunity for Intune and we are focussing all our resources in that direction.”
